What was interestering though, today in class we talked about movies, and my prof said that there are litterly hundreds of european movies that have been remade in english (and when i say remade, i mean to the nth degree.) For example, that movie 3 men and a baby or whatever its called, is a french film. Apparantly my prof gets really mad when he goes to the theatre and has to watch the same movie only this time with american actors. One reason for this, we figured, was because americans (and krista) don't like watching movies with subtitles (and actors they don't recognize.) which brought up another thing, in montréal, for example, you can watch movies that come from the states, québec, anglo-canada, spain, etc. no one thinks anything of it, its just the way it is. in manitoba, ifi you watch a movie with subtitles, you're "artsy" and people look at you funny. think about it.
anyways, so after my nap i was bored so i came back down to my room and i am currently chillaxing, listening to my room and, enjoying my favourite pasttime, putzing, aka, wasting hours doing nothing. so anyways, while i was putzing this afternoon i decide to google "le lycée de saguenay" because i'm bored and that's where the kids go to school out here. and what do i find while i'm putzing, some beautiful pictures of my host sisters, well, two of them.....
so yeah there's a lovely pic of caro and marie-frédérique, no geneviève, but whatever....anyways, i'm gonna go upstairs and hang out with the fam. supper should be ready soon. later. -ta
